The Agriculture Commissioner protects Georgia’s food supply, supports farmers, oversees agricultural inspections, and promotes one of the state’s largest industries. Agriculture contributes billions of dollars to Georgia’s economy and is essential to rural communities. Katherine Juhan-Arnold has worked with agricultural organizations and rural communities throughout Georgia, focusing on strengthening local food systems and supporting farmers. Her understanding of both agriculture and economic development positions her to help one of Georgia’s most important industries grow.

“My candidacy is grounded in a simple principle: every Georgian deserves dignity, safety, equal opportunity, and a government that works for them. The Department of Agriculture reaches far beyond farms. It affects workplaces, food access, small businesses, consumer protection, animal care, rural communities, land, water, and the economic security of families across Georgia. I will lead the Department with transparency, accountability, compassion, and respect for every person it serves.

I support comprehensive nondiscrimination protections, inclusive departmental policies, fair access to state programs and opportunities, and meaningful LGBTQ representation in appointments and decision-making. I am not asking Georgians simply to trust a promise. I am committed to building systems in which equal treatment can be seen, measured, enforced, and relied upon.”
