In Fiedler’s words: “This wave of development [in NoMA] has been incredible and has helped to keep rents lower per square foot than other parts of the city while neighborhood amenities have increased as well. …[But the] area west of the NoMA BID but east of the Mount Vernon Triangle CID is underattended and underinvested in. …As an ANC Commissioner, I’d work with local organizations and businesses to identify grant opportunities and figure out how that funding could support concrete community improvements. I’d also work with DC government agencies to get clarity on the status of vacant and abandoned lots, as well as poorly managed buildings in the area.” Fiedler deserves your vote.
