Judge Aimen was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1984. Prior to her election in 2020 she was a sole practitioner with concentrations in criminal defense, family and civil rights matters and appellate law. After the initial assignment, since 2022 she has been assigned to Domestic Relations Division at the 1st Municipal District (Daley Center). She has been a committee member for several bar associations and was on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Council of Lawyers.

Attorneys consider her to be smart, hardworking, professional, and patient with the many pro se litigants who appear before her. ISBA recommends that Judge Julie Bess Aimen be retained to the Circuit Court of Cook County.

ISBA:

Judge Antonietti was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1991. After a career as a prosecutor, she was appointed to the circuit court in June 2019 and was elected in 2020. Her current assignment is at the 6th Municipal District (Markham), where she presides over a misdemeanor courtroom. She is a member of various bar and judicial associations and has been a committee member for the Illinois Judges Association. Attorneys stated that she has good legal knowledge and gives thorough rulings, is prepared and punctual.

ISBA recommends Judge Erin Haggerty Antonietti be retained to the Circuit Court of Cook County.
