Washington General Election
U.S. House Washington District 1
Suzan DelBene
Rep. Suzan DelBene is seeking another term representing Washington's Congressional District 1 in the U.S. House. DelBene has a record of fighting for working families, consumer protections and data privacy, healthcare, technology, and small businesses since she was first elected to the position in 2012. She also serves in the Pro-Choice Caucus. Professionally, her background is in tech, including roles at Microsoft and leading several local startups. In addition, she worked as the director of the Washington State Department of Revenue before joining Congress. DelBene is also the Chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. DelBene has been a staunch advocate for bills to help Washingtonians and the rest of our country afford stable housing, find family-wage jobs, and access quality healthcare. She has leveraged her tech background to balance consumer rights and innovation, creating protections that benefit us all. DelBene played a key role in passing the Child Tax Credit and is leading efforts to expand it to reduce child poverty across the country. She also previously supported the bipartisan infrastructure law which sent federal funding to Washington to upgrade public roads, ports, broadband, and more. More recently, DelBene used her position to continue fighting against conservative efforts to rollback environmental protections and reproductive freedoms, voting to block cuts to Medicaid and Planned Parenthood. She also voted in favor of protections for gender-affirming care and for transgender youth at a time when our LGBTQ+ communities are facing unprecedented attacks from our federal government. While DelBene is one of our more progressive Congressional representatives, she is also being asked to reconsider accepting donations from AIPAC in a national movement for reducing Israeli influence in our politics. If re-elected, she remains committed to holding the current administration accountable, mitigating climate change, and securing reproductive rights. We recommend Suzan DelBene to serve another term representing the 1st Congressional District.
U.S. House Washington District 2
Rick Larsen
Congressman Rick Larsen is running for re-election to the U.S. House in Washington's 2nd Congressional District. Larsen is a moderate Democrat who is serving his thirteenth term in Congress and previously worked as a Snohomish County Council member. In office, he has specialized in areas of global trade, environmental conservation, and transportation and infrastructure, a committee on which he is the lead Democrat. Larsen has helped to make historic investments to address climate change, modernize infrastructure, and combat the opioid epidemic by giving Americans struggling with substance abuse the support they need. Previously, Larsen supported Democratic priorities such as child tax credits, lowering prescription medication costs, voting rights, student loan reduction, and clean energy. He is a reliable vote when it comes to environmental protections, reproductive rights, and infrastructure improvements. Some of his critics called for Larsen to shift away from AIPAC and corporate campaign contributions as part of nationwide efforts to reduce corporate influence in our democracy. If re-elected, Larsen wants to support working families and small businesses, address climate change, support reproductive freedom, prevent gun violence, and expand affordable healthcare so that everyone, regardless of income, can access the care and medication they need. Though Rick Larsen tends to be a more measured and incremental voice in Congress, we recommend him to voters seeking an experienced candidate, and because of strong support from our progressive partners.
U.S. House Washington District 3

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
Democratic incumbent Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is running for a third term serving Washington’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House. Perez previously defeated MAGA Republican Joe Kent in 2022 and 2024. Perez co-owns a family auto repair shop with her husband and previously served as executive director of the Stevenson Downtown Association, a part of the Main Street America coalition.
Perez has positioned herself as a voice for rural and working-class communities in her district. She has championed “right to repair” legislation aimed at lowering costs for people in her district and reducing waste, and her voting record has often reflected an independent approach on issues such as border policy, the environment, education, and public safety.
However, Perez has generated controversy during her time in Congress, frustrating progressives with her votes on ICE funding, her censuring of colleagues, and her support for legislation affecting voting access. She voted for an early version of the SAVE Act but opposed the final version, and supported a Republican-led “Stopping Indoctrination and Protecting Kids Act,” which raised concerns among LGBTQ+ advocates about potential impacts on transgender students.
At the same time, Perez has aligned with Democrats on key working-class priorities, including voting to restore collective bargaining rights for federal workers, opposing changes that would have weakened Affordable Care Act premium tax credits, and supporting protections for reproductive healthcare and Planned Parenthood following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Perez continues to prove her commitment to fighting for the working people in her district on a vast majority of issues, while her Republican opponent, Rep. John Braun, does the opposite. Braun proudly supported Trump’s budget bill that doubled healthcare premiums for thousands of people, and voted to keep prescription drug costs high after taking tens of thousands of dollars from Big Pharma.
While we have been disappointed in several of her higher-profile votes, we believe that Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is our best option in this race to regain a Democratic majority in the U.S. House. If re-elected, we hope that she will re-evaluate her approach to governance and give more consideration to how her votes affect the people in our state.
U.S. House Washington District 4

John Duresky
John Duresky is a Democrat running for Congress in the 4th district. He is an Air Force veteran who was brought to central Washington through his military career. Duresky demonstrates a deep understanding of the district and recognizes the issues important to its residents.
Duresky is running a compassionate campaign dedicated to protecting residents from federal overreach and standing up for workers. He is supportive of government accountability, including protecting social security benefits, banning Congressional stock trading, and introducing term limits for Congress. Duresky denounced the cuts made under DOGE that threatened the job security of federal employees and implemented politically motivated changes. Being a veteran himself, he has experienced the VA system and wants to improve how our service members access and receive their benefits, reducing wait times and supporting mental health services.
John Duresky is a candidate who understands the needs of the district and advocates for real solutions that reduce harm and support workers. We recommend voting for John Duresky to be the next representative for the 4th Congressional District.
U.S. House Washington District 5

Carmela Conroy
Carmela Conroy is a third-generation Eastern Washingtonian, a retired U.S. diplomat who served as Consul General in Lahore, Pakistan, and a former Spokane County deputy prosecutor. Conroy holds both a Bachelor’s and J.D. from the University of Washington, as well as a master’s degree in national security studies from the U.S. Naval War College. Since returning to Spokane, she has volunteered her legal services with immigrant rights organizations and has served as the chair of the Spokane County Democrats. In 2024, she ran for this seat against Rep. Michael Baumgartner but was unsuccessful. Conroy is running to restore funding for public education and protect Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, while raising the minimum wage to keep pace with inflation. She supports ending federal funding for the new DHS and ICE detention centers and opposes military-style operations targeting immigrant communities. Conroy favors expanding healthcare access by extending coverage for children and strengthening the federal government's ability to negotiate prescription drug prices with pharmaceutical companies. She also supports banning members of Congress from trading individual stocks and has called for the Department of Justice to investigate matters related to the Epstein files. Carmela Conroy's public service experience, strong educational background, and commitment to restoring trust and stability for the people of Eastern Washington reflect the practical, responsible leadership the 5th Congressional District needs. Carmela Conroy is the best choice in this race, and we encourage voters to choose her as their next congressional representative.
U.S. House Washington District 6
Emily Randall
Rep. Emily Randall is seeking re-election to represent the 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House, running on a progressive, community-forward platform. Randall was one of the most outspoken advocates of reproductive freedom and accessible healthcare for all during her time in the state Legislature. Before elected office, she worked for several social justice-focused nonprofits, including Planned Parenthood. During her first term in Congress, Randall has been a progressive champion on a host of issues, fighting for our civil rights. She voted against several bills meant to weaken our environmental protections, such as rolling back states' cleaner cars standards and removing public lands protections on culturally and ecologically significant landscapes. Randall continues to protect reproductive rights, voting against several Republican-led efforts to cut funds for Medicaid, increase healthcare costs, and limit students' access to comprehensive reproductive health information. If re-elected, Randall will advocate to improve our public education systems, safeguard abortion access, and defend our democracy. Emily Randall has proven herself to be a tireless advocate for the working class, continuously fighting against Republican attacks on our healthcare, education, and democracy. She has more than earned another term representing the 6th Congressional District in Congress.
U.S. House Washington District 7

Pramila Jayapal
Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal is running for another term in the U.S. House representing Washington’s 7th Congressional District. Jaypal was first elected to the position in 2016 and has since become one of the strongest progressive voices in Congress, advocating for immigration reform, civil liberties, and economic justice as the chair of the Progressive Caucus. In 2001, Jayapal founded the now-largest immigrant rights organization in the state, OneAmerica. She has also been a leader on local issues, including championing Seattle’s $15 minimum wage effort on the Mayoral Advisory Committee. In Congress, Rep. Jayapal has pioneered bold progress, including being a strong advocate for reproductive freedom and abortion access, supporting trans civil rights, and speaking out for immigrants. She has been outspoken in support of peace in the Middle East amidst the rising death toll in Gaza and the growing regional war. Jayapal has led the charge both statewide and nationally against the increasing attacks against the transgender community, endorsing the No Hate In WA State campaign. As Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, she has helped lead the charge to put working people first by championing workers’ rights, advancing immigrant justice, and protecting our democracy. Jayapal has also been at the forefront of organizing and mobilizing resistance to the Trump administration, including launching the Resistance Lab initiative to train and empower activists across the country to take action and build lasting political power. At a time when fundamental freedoms and our democracy are under attack, we are proud to support a proven progressive leader who consistently delivers for Washington families and stands up to MAGA Republicans. Pramila Jayapal continues to be a tireless advocate in the face of the far-right, working to protect our most vulnerable communities nationwide. We recommend re-electing her to serve another term representing the 7th Congressional District.
U.S. House Washington District 8
Kim Schrier
Dr. Kim Schrier is running for a fourth term representing Congressional District 8 in the U.S. House. She was first elected in 2018 when she turned the seat blue for the first time in its history. Schrier is a former pediatrician who previously ran a local practice in Issaquah. Over her past four terms in Congress, she has become a pragmatic voice, working across party lines to advocate for Washington’s working families and economic prosperity throughout our state. In Congress, Rep. Schrier has leveraged her background in medicine and her strong community experience to advocate effectively for her constituents. She continues to fight for reproductive rights, voting against Republican-led efforts to make significant cuts to Planned Parenthood and Medicaid. Schrier also voted against diverting critical TANF funds to anti-abortion, crisis pregnancy centers at a time when families nationwide need financial assistance most. Previously, Schrier sponsored a slate of health-related legislation, including bills to establish a state public option to make healthcare more affordable, to protect providers who work in reproductive healthcare, and to help kids access primary care. Her votes for environmental protections also earned her a high score from the League of Conservation Voters as she worked to fight pollution and toxic pesticides. More recently, Schrier has faced scrutiny for her votes against the LGBTQ+ community, justice reforms, and immigrant protections. She took some unfavorable stances, such as voting to repeal DC's Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Amendment Act of 2022 and for the Laken Riley Act, which immigrants' rights groups strongly opposed. Schrier is also facing requests for Congressional members nationwide to stop accepting campaign funds from AIPAC and other Israeli interest groups. Kim Schrier is a steadfast advocate for healthcare protections, working against cuts to our most essential services. We hope that in her next term, she takes a more ardent stand to protect our immigrant communities against federal overreach. We recommend re-electing Kim Schrier in the 8th Congressional District.
U.S. House Washington District 9

D. Adam Smith
Rep. Adam Smith is running for his 15th term in the U.S. House representing Congressional District 9. Smith has a long track record of advocacy and government work, including as a former lawyer, City of Seattle prosecutor, and Washington state senator. In Congress, Smith serves on the New Democrat Coalition and the Progressive Caucus. His district is the state’s most diverse, with a strong immigrant population and sizable Asian, Latinx, and Black communities, and he has shown a demonstrated commitment to uplifting all residents in the district. Smith is an influential voice in Congress and has previously supported some ambitious progressive bills such as the Green New Deal and the Medicare for All Act. He previously sponsored bills to curtail hedge fund buyouts of single-family homes, to expand job opportunities for foreign-trained skilled medical professionals, and to create more pathways to economic security for Americans without college degrees. Smith's votes to protect reproductive rights and access to abortions and gender-affirming care for transgender youth earned him a 100% score from Planned Parenthood in 2025. He also stood up against conservative efforts to roll back critical environmental protections, voting to block several attempts at reducing accountability for polluters. Unfortunately, over the course of his tenure in Congress, Smith has been criticized for his more hawkish foreign policy stances – including supporting a larger U.S. role in the growing conflict in the Middle East. His foreign policy stances have drawn protests at his home calling for an end to funding of the wars in Iran and Gaza. He is also one of several Congressional members being asked to reconsider accepting donations from AIPAC in a national movement for reducing Israeli influence in our politics. Given his endorsements from our partners and steadfast commitment to protecting reproductive rights and environmental justice, we recommend re-electing Adam Smith for another term in the 9th Congressional District. However, we hope that he will be more receptive to his critics and revise some of his stances on foreign policy matters.
U.S. House Washington District 10
Marilyn Strickland
Rep. Marilyn Strickland is running for a fourth term representing Washington’s Congressional District 10 in the U.S. House. Strickland has a long track record of public service as a mayor and city council member for Tacoma and as the former lead for both Pierce Transit and the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. When she was first elected to Congress in 2020, Strickland became the first African American and Korean American representative from Washington. In office, Strickland has fought for a better quality of life for all Washingtonians. Previously, Strickland sponsored legislation to fund grants for women and underrepresented communities in STEM, to address the workforce shortage in senior services and childcare, and to support military firefighters who have been exposed to toxic chemicals in the line of duty. Strickland is also a staunch advocate of reproductive freedom for all, sponsoring a bill to provide federal financial assistance for those traveling to access reproductive healthcare. She also fought back against attacks on Planned Parenthood and protected access to abortion. Strickland stood up to conservative efforts to roll back critical environmental protections, voting to block several attempts to reduce accountability for polluters. More recently, however, we were disappointed by Strickland's vote for two bills that targeted transgender youth. One bill blocked access to gender-affirming care for minor dependents of service members, and another made it illegal for schools to receive federal funds if they allow transgender youth participation in girls' and women's sports. These votes were especially upsetting at a time when transgender youth are facing unprecedented attacks at the national level and our public schools are in critical need of funding. She is also one of several Congressional members being asked to reconsider accepting donations from AIPAC in a national movement for reducing Israeli influence in our politics. Marilyn Strickland's track record in office and endorsements from our partners make her the strongest candidate in this race. However, we hope that she will take a more proactive stance in protecting our transgender youth as she has with protecting reproductive rights and environmental reforms.
Washington State Supreme Court Justice - Position 1 (Unexpired term)

Colleen Melody
Justice Colleen Melody is running for state Supreme Court Position 1. She was appointed to the state Supreme Court by Governor Bob Ferguson in 2025. Before joining the court, she served for 11 years as Chief of the Civil Rights Division in the Washington Attorney General's Office, where she helped lead major cases defending access to abortion medication, challenging the Muslim travel ban in Trump's first term, opposing family separation policies, and protecting LGBTQ+ rights. She previously served in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, bringing decades of constitutional and public interest legal experience to the bench. The Washington Supreme Court plays a critical role in protecting the rights and freedoms of people in our state, from safeguarding reproductive freedom and civil rights to defending working people, protecting the environment, and upholding fair tax laws. With so much at stake, Washington needs justices with a strong commitment to defending our freedoms, which is why we recommend Colleen Melody for Washington state Supreme Court Position 1.
Washington State Supreme Court Justice - Position 3

Jaime Hawk
Judge Jaime Hawk is running for Washington State Supreme Court Position 3. She has served on the King County Superior Court since 2019, after more than two decades as a public defender, during which she represented thousands of people and advocated for the constitutional rights of individuals who otherwise could not afford legal representation. Her career has also included serving as a federal defender in Eastern Washington and leading statewide advocacy efforts as an attorney for the ACLU of Washington, where she worked to protect civil liberties, constitutional rights, and equal justice under the law. As a Superior Court judge, Hawk has presided over criminal, civil, and family law cases with fairness, independence, and respect for every person who enters the courtroom. She also serves on the Washington Supreme Court's Minority and Justice Commission, where she works to strengthen public trust in the courts and expand access to justice. At a time when our fundamental freedoms are under threat from the federal government, Judge Hawk has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to ensuring our legal system serves everyone, not just the powerful and wealthy. Her experience serving communities across Washington and her lifelong dedication to fairness, equal justice, and the rule of law make her well qualified to serve on our state's highest court. Due to her commitment to equitable justice and her judicial experience, we recommend Jaime Hawk for Washington Supreme Court Position 3.
