Georgia General Election
Georgia Governor

Keisha Bottoms
“I ask for the support of Georgia’s LGBTQ+ and allied voters because I have shown, time and again, that my support is not conditional, convenient, or performative. I have stood with this community in moments of celebration, in moments of crisis, and in the everyday work of governing.
I have always worked to make sure LGBTQ+ Georgians are seen, respected, protected, and included. My record reflects that, but just as importantly, so do my values. I believe every Georgian deserves dignity, safety, freedom, and a government that treats them like they matter.
I am running to build a Georgia where our residents do not have to choose between being safe, being successful, and being fully themselves. That means defending civil rights, protecting access to healthcare, supporting inclusive schools and communities, and ensuring that the state government works for every family.”
Georgia Lieutenant Governor

Josh McLaurin
“I have taken the ‘tough’ votes and given the ‘tough’ speeches. I put ‘tough’ in scare quotes because I believe strongly that the positions I’ve taken do not actually carry political cost if they are taken with skill and conviction, which I have tried to do. I’m unafraid of cheap political attacksand will fight for the rights, safety, and overall well being of vulnerable people as if they are my own family.
Georgia Attorney General

Tanya Miller
“I am a lifelong supporter of equal rights, and I have consistently stood against harmful, hateful, and discriminatory legislation targeting the LGBTQ community. As Attorney General, I will make sure that every Georgian is equal under the law and will stop the constant barrage of far-right motivated unconstitutional attacks through the courts.”
Georgia Secretary of State

Penny Brown Reynolds
“My campaign is built on the belief that Georgia is for all of us. That includes LGBTQ+ Georgians. I will be a Secretary of State who protects the right to vote, promotes fair and accessible government, supports secure and trustworthy elections, and treats every Georgian with dignity and respect. I will listen to the LGBTQ+ community, work with LGBTQ+ advocates and organizations, and make sure that your concerns are not simply heard during an election campaign but remain part of the conversation when decisions are being made.
You should support my candidacy because my commitment to equality has been demonstrated over decades, not just during campaign season. I bring the experience of a lawyer, judge, educator, civil-rights leader, and public servant, but most importantly, I bring a fundamental belief that no one should have to fight to be treated as fully human, fully equal, and fully protected under the law. This is the Georgia I believe in. This is the Georgia I intend to help build as your Secretary of State.”
Georgia Agriculture Commission

Katherine Juhan-Arnold
“My candidacy is grounded in a simple principle: every Georgian deserves dignity, safety, equal opportunity, and a government that works for them. The Department of Agriculture reaches far beyond farms. It affects workplaces, food access, small businesses, consumer protection, animal care, rural communities, land, water, and the economic security of families across Georgia. I will lead the Department with transparency, accountability, compassion, and respect for every person it serves.
I support comprehensive nondiscrimination protections, inclusive departmental policies, fair access to state programs and opportunities, and meaningful LGBTQ representation in appointments and decision-making. I am not asking Georgians simply to trust a promise. I am committed to building systems in which equal treatment can be seen, measured, enforced, and relied upon.”
Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commission

Keisha Waites
“Georgia families are paying some of the highest insurance rates in the country—for their homes, their cars, and their healthcare. As a homeowner, driver, and taxpayer myself, I know exactly how painful and frustrating this system has become. Georgians deserve relief, accountability, and leadership that understands their struggle firsthand. I’m running for Insurance Commissioner to deliver that change.”
Georgia Labor Commission

Nikki Porcher
“Members of Georgia’s LGBTQ community and our allies are already part of this campaign—not on the outside looking in, but helping shape it from within. I don’t believe in building policy for people without building it with them. The voices of LGBTQ Georgians are part of how I approach creating safe, fair, and equitable workplaces across this state.
This campaign is about more than traditional conversations around wages. It’s about making sure every worker—no matter who they are—has access to opportunity, protection from discrimination, and the ability to show up fully as themselves without fear.”
Georgia School Superintendent

Lydia Powell
“I believe that I should be supported in my candidacy for State Superintendent of Schools because I know firsthand the importance of the work that your organization does to protect students. Districts around the state do not have clear guidance on how to acclimate students from the LGBTQ community into our schools, especially when they transfer from other states, metropolitan areas, or from a homeschool setting.
The registration process, graduation conversations and name changes, managing teachers with biases, and bullying protocols are all real issues that our LGBTQ students and parents face. I have had to manage and work through all of those situations firsthand.
The state needs a leader with firsthand experience navigating these issues to create a safe and inclusive environment for all students. We have to ensure that every group gets what it needs through policy and law to achieve equity.”
Georgia State Senate - District 1

Corey Foreman
“Every resident deserves to be treated with respect, fairness and dignity under the law. My focus is on delivering results that improve people’s lives, including better infrastructure, stronger schools, and access to healthcare. I will listen to all my constituents, stand for fair treatment, and work to ensure that no one is left out of the opportunities our region is creating.”
Georgia State Senate - District 7

Ruwa Romman
“Since 2014, I’ve trained and mobilized thousands of volunteers to flip our state and work to change our state politics. And, I’ve served as a State Representative for 4 years now. In that time, I also was deputy whip helping build a defense strategy that resulted in us stopping 90% of bad bills this legislative session and protecting countless Georgians including LGTBQ Georgians. I’m the only candidate in this race with that kind of experience making me ready to protect our communities on day one.”
Georgia State Senate - District 9

Nikki Merritt
“Every Georgian deserves to feel seen, heard, and represented. Senator Merritt has always fought for communities that have been underserved and underrepresented, and she will continue to stand up for the LGBTQ community and defend their right to live freely, safely, and with dignity.”
Georgia State Senate - District 14

Kevin Abel
“Over the last three decades, I have demonstrated through my active engagement in the community my deep compassion for those who have been marginalized or who need a helping hand.
During my 2018 congressional campaign, I learned about the political issues and challenges facing the LGBTQ community and made clear my willingness to advocate on its behalf. I was endorsed by former Doraville City Councilwoman Stephe Koonz, who was one of my mentors and advisors on issues affecting the community. If elected to the Georgia Senate, I will continue my advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQ community.”
