Illinois General Election
U.S. Senate - Illinois

Juliana Stratton
DemocraticU.S. House Illinois District 4
WFP is not endorsing a candidate for this primary race. Chuy Garcia announced that he was dropping out of the race in November and hand-picked Patty Garcia as his successor in a move that many deem to be undemocratic and not above-board. We will likely endorse a write-in or independent candidate in the general election.

Sean Casten
DemocraticIllinois Governor

J.B. Pritzker
DemocraticIllinois Lieutenant Governor

Christian L. Mitchell
DemocraticIllinois Attorney General

Kwame Raoul
DemocraticIllinois Comptroller
WFP has listened to various town halls and researched various sources about the four Democratic candidates running for Comptroller. We support both Holly Kim and Karina Villa.
Holly is the current Lake County Treasurer, and her office processes and authorizes over $3.2 billion in payments each year. She has made sure the County's budget is balanced and has even created a large surplus for the County by implementing initiatives to get better savings and loan rates. Cybersecurity and ensuring Illinoisans sensitive information is protected is one of her top priorities.
Karina currently serves as State Senator for Illinois’ 25th District. Before public office, she worked as a school social worker. In 2018, she flipped a Republican-held state House seat, and in 2020, she did it again by winning the longtime Republican 25th Senate District. Karina is running for Comptroller to "be the people’s watchdog, protecting every hard-earned tax dollar and ensuring a government as honest and hardworking as Illinois families."
