Brad Finstad is running for re-election to Congress because Washington, D.C., sorely needs some Midwestern common sense, and southern Minnesotans deserve a representative who will work hard to advance our priorities. Brad is proud to have served as President Donald J. Trump’s State Director for USDA Rural Development in Minnesota. Brad worked to support infrastructure improvements, business development, homeownership, community services such as schools, public safety and health care, and high-speed internet access in rural areas. A fourth-generation resident of the New Ulm area, Brad and his wife Jaclyn met on the school bus in second grade. Today they are the proud parents of seven children. Together with their extended family, they operate a family farm that has been active for generations. Brad is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Agriculture Education with emphasis in Rural Leadership Development. His prior positions include serving as Executive Director of the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association, Executive Director of the Center for Rural Policy & Development, Area Director with the Minnesota Farm Bureau, and three terms representing Brown, Watonwan, and Redwood counties in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Brad is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, defending the unborn, and keeping government out of the way so entrepreneurs, farmers, and small businesses can thrive.

My family and I are six generations deep in Senate District 15. My relatives came for opportunity and to build a better life in Southwest Minnesota. Our families and young people are choosing other states for lower taxes and fees, a higher quality of education, a lower cost of living and more opportunities to succeed. I've chosen to invest my future here in Southwest Minnesota--buying a farm site, raising chickens, building my businesses, working as a loan officer at a family-owned bank and helping to make Minnesota a better place. My direct and extended family of ancestors have had a long record of public service and community involvement. My Grandpa Seifert and Grandpa DeSutter served our country in World War II and the Korean War. They were also both elected to township Boards in Redwood and Lyon Counties, also volunteering with the American Legion. I am proud that the Seifert-Bianchi American Legion Post in New Ulm still serves that community today. I serve as a loan officer at a local family-owned bank in Marshall. The families and businesspeople that I meet often tell me of the hardships facing them: expensive adoptions, the stress of starting a business or purchasing a car, the cost of raising a family. It inspires me to serve at a higher level as your State Senator. By the time I was 20 years old, I started two businesses. I was the youngest licensed auctioneer in Minnesota at one time and navigated the red tape and expenses of starting up Silver Dollar Auction Company and Silver Dollar Property Company, which I still operate today.

Geri Theis is a Redwood Falls resident, real estate broker, mom, and grandmother who has spent her life working alongside the families and small businesses that make our corner of Minnesota strong. As a local real estate professional, Geri understands the economic challenges facing rural communities — rising costs, shrinking opportunity, and a St. Paul that too often ignores life outside the metro. Together with her husband Corey Theis, a Redwood County Commissioner, their family has remained actively engaged in serving and strengthening local communities for years. Geri earned the Republican endorsement on the first ballot — a clear sign that grassroots Republicans across District 15B trust her to carry their values forward.
