As a mother, veteran, and Democrat, Chari wants to bring proven experience, balance, and a fresh perspective to the Texas Supreme Court.
Why I’m Running: "Texas is a diverse, dynamic state, but our highest court doesn’t reflect that. The Texas Supreme Court has become a rubber stamp for the executive branch and has failed to live up to its purpose of independently interpreting the law. Texans deserve a court that holds everyone accountable—including those in power."
Chari also supports unhoused and low-income women in need of legal, social, and medical services. She has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law for nearly 20 years.
