Rob Bresnahan U.S. Congressman | Pennsylvania’s 8th District

Born in Kingston and raised in Wyoming Borough and Hughestown, Congressman Rob Bresnahan learned the value of hard work early, sweeping floors, wiring junction boxes, and running heavy equipment with his grandfather Walt Kuharchik, a union electrician and small business owner. Rob grew up helping out at the family’s bowling alley, playing competitive hockey, and plowing snow for his neighbors before sunrise.

At just 19, Rob became CFO of his family’s third-generation business, Kuharchik Construction. By the time he became CEO, Rob had grown the company’s footprint across Pennsylvania, securing financing to expand operations and support more than 150 working families. Rob later founded RPB Ventures to invest in revitalizing Northeastern Pennsylvania, rehabbing historic buildings in downtown Pittston and creating new opportunities for local entrepreneurs.

In 2024, Rob defeated six-term Democratic Congressman Matt Cartwright in one of the most closely watched House races in the country, despite being outspent by nearly $3 million. His victory flipped a key swing seat in Northeastern Pennsylvania and helped secure the House majority.

Now serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman Bresnahan is focused on cutting red tape, defending working families, and delivering results for his hometown region. He currently serves on the House Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure, Small Business, and Agriculture, where he brings a business owner’s mindset to Washington and fights to restore accountability in government.

A fifth generation Northeastern Pennsylvanian, accomplished businessman, college athlete, former Chairman of the Joint Apprentice Training Committee and Trustee for the Health Wellness and Annuity for IBEW 163, and community philanthropist, Rob Bresnahan is completely dedicated to continuing to do what is best for Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA). He often states, “I don’t have an ‘R’ or ‘D’ next to my name, just the letters N-E-P-A.”

Retired U.S. Army Reserve Colonel Stacy Garrity is Pennsylvania's 78th State Treasurer and a candidate for Governor. A decorated combat veteran with three deployments - Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom - she was twice awarded the Bronze Star and received the Legion of Merit, earning the title "Angel of the Desert" for her leadership managing internment camps without a single complaint of abuse.
As Treasurer, Garrity has returned over $1 billion in unclaimed property to Pennsylvanians, saved taxpayers nearly $200 million by eliminating fraud and inefficiency, and made transparency and ethics a top priority. A strong ally of President Trump, a Bradford County native, and a graduate of Bloomsburg University, Stacy is running for Governor to bring the same commonsense fiscal leadership to the Commonwealth - raising hope, not taxes.

A Woman of Valor: Why Stacy Garrity is the Leader

Pennsylvania Needs

In Hebrew, the phrase "Eshet Chayil"—Woman of Valor—describes a person of strength, capability, and unshakeable integrity. It is a title earned not by words, but by deeds. When looking at the landscape of Pennsylvania politics, few embody this spirit as thoroughly as Stacy Garrity.

From the battlefields of Iraq to the boardrooms of global industry, and now the halls of the State Treasury, Garrity has spent a lifetime proving that true leadership is about service, not status. Here is why she would make the best Governor for the Commonwealth.

1. Proven Leadership Under Fire

Garrity’s resume is not just a list of jobs; it is a record of stepping up when it matters most. As a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, she served our nation for 30 years, including three deployments to the Middle East.

Her service at Camp Bucca in Iraq is legendary. She Commanded a detention camp for enemy combatants, she earned the nickname "The Angel of the Desert" from the very detainees she guarded. Why? Because she treated them with dignity while maintaining perfect order—zero escape attempts and zero abuse complaints under her watch. This is the definition of valor: maintaining moral clarity and control in the most hostile environments. Pennsylvania needs a governor who can handle pressure with that same level of grace and grit.

2. A Fiscal Watchdog with a Record of Success

While many politicians talk about fiscal responsibility, Garrity has delivered it. Since upsetting an incumbent to become State Treasurer in 2020 (and winning re-election in 2024 with more votes than any statewide candidate in PA history), she has transformed the office delivering the results she promised.

Returning Wealth to Residents: She shattered state records for returning unclaimed property, putting hundreds of millions of dollars back into the pockets of Pennsylvania families.

Transparency: She upgraded the state’s transparency portal, making it easier for taxpayers to see exactly how their money is spent.

Smart Investing: Under her watch, the PA 529 College Savings Program received "Gold" ratings for the first time, and she eliminated fees to help families save more for education.

She doesn't just manage the state's checkbook; she guards it. As Governor, she would bring this same scrutiny to the entire state budget, rooting out waste and respecting the taxpayer.

3. Private Sector Common Sense

Unlike career politicians who have never signed the front of a paycheck, Garrity understands the real economy. She started as a cost accountant at Global Tungsten & Powders in Bradford County and worked her way up to become one of the first female Vice Presidents at the company.

She understands that Pennsylvania’s economy is stifled by red tape. Her platform focuses on unleashing the Commonwealth’s energy potential—specifically natural gas—to create jobs and lower energy costs. She views the state's energy resources not as a liability, but as a strategic asset that can fund schools and infrastructure without raising taxes.

4. The "Underdog" Who Delivers

Stacy Garrity has been underestimated her entire life, yet she consistently wins and never gives up. In 2020, she was outspent by a massive margin but won by connecting directly with voters. In 2024, she secured a landslide re-election. She connects with the rural farmer, the suburban parent, and the union worker because she is one of them. She isn’t a polished product of a political machine; she is a grit-and-grind Pennsylvanian.

The Vision for Governor of this Commonwealth

As Governor, Stacy Garrity will bring a "service-first" mentality to Harrisburg. Her platform includes the following...

Educational Freedom: Empowering parents with school choice and ensuring zip codes don't dictate your child's future and success.

Public Safety: Leveraging her military background to support law enforcement and ensure the streets are safe for all who live in this beautiful Commonwealth.

Economic Competitiveness: Cutting the corporate net income tax and reducing regulations to stop businesses from fleeing to Ohio or Florida and instead they will invest here at home in Pennsylvania, creating more jobs.

In Conclusion:

A "Woman of Valor" does not fear the difficult path. Stacy Garrity has patrolled the desert, managed global supply chains, and safeguarded the state’s billions. She has the discipline of a soldier, the acumen of a businesswoman, and the heart of a public servant. For a Pennsylvania that needs to be tough, smart, and prosperous, Stacy Garrity isn't just a candidate; she is the gold star standard. 🇺🇸

Conservative Republican Reformer Jamie Walsh campaigned against the political establishment in 2024 and won by the narrowest margin in the state - just 4 votes. As your State Representative, Jamie has been one of the top-rated conservative legislators in the state with an unmatched conservative record. In addition to taking on the establishment in Harrisburg, Jamie has also fought to protect the property rights of homeowners in our district by taking on the utility companies who seek to trample them by building unwanted power lines and data centers in our area.
