Protect public lands

The Ohio GOP didn't run this state for 30+ years by accident. They organized. They coordinated. They drew the maps, stacked the courts, & showed up every single election. We can do the same. Join this group, get a voter guide for every election, & show up as part of a real bloc with more power. Follow our guide or make your own choices, your vote is always yours. But together, we're actually loud enough to matter. Ohio's not a lost cause. We can make progressive change, together. 🗳️

Sierra Club Independent Action's political endorsements and recommendations. To ensure the Sierra Club only endorses the best environmental candidates, our grassroots process begins at the chapter level. Volunteers examine each candidate's record and distribute questionnaires to candidates who meet our criteria. State volunteers then hold a first vote on endorsement. The Sierra Club National Political Team, made up of volunteers and staff from around the country, then holds a second vote to confirm the endorsement. Throughout our process, volunteers and staff evaluate the environmental and public health records of candidates and their experience of being a true champion on our issues. We need climate champions who will address the climate crisis and advance a more equitable clean energy future. We also understand the critical importance of a representative democracy that reflects the diversity of our communities. As people of color, women, LGBTQ-identifying people, and Indigenous communities are vastly underrepresented at all levels of government, LCV Action Fund is committed to working alongside diverse environmental champions to elevate these leaders to elected office to invest in clean energy, strengthen clean air and water safeguards, to protect our public lands, and more.
