John Beasley is running unopposed for Weber County Commissioner.
We’re talking about a job that pays more than $100,000 a year, and we’re just going to let someone walk into it without so much as a job interview?
That’s insane.
County commissioners make decisions about our tax dollars, our roads, our communities, and our future. They should have to explain what they’ve accomplished, what they intend to do, and why they deserve the job.
I don’t care what party you belong to. Nobody should be entitled to public office. Nobody should get a free pass just because nobody bothered to challenge them.
These are public servants, not hereditary positions. The people paying their salaries deserve a choice, and they deserve answers.
