Minna's Voter Guide

Voters for this office, shown across the district.
The "four guys" of this primary that the media has mostly focused and are Bores, Conway, Schlossberg, and Lasher. As of 6/10, Lasher leads with 22% and Bores 20%.
Lasher, Bores, and Schlossberg are largely supportive of Israel for a two-state solution, pro-security and funding, anti-Netanyahu. All (including Conway) have criticized the genocide in Gaza, while refusing to call it a genocide. This district in Manhattan is heavily comprised of Jewish New Yorkers, and this race has split on Israel among the candidates.
Micah Lasher is an establishment Dem, seen as the heir apparent to Nadler (whose seat this was before announcing retirement), endorsed by Gov. Hochul, Nadler, and Mike Bloomberg. He does not support conditional aid to Israel. He supports abolishing ICE, is pro universal Medicare. He is openly very anti-Trump and RFK Jr.
Alex Bores is a former Palantir scientist, and a main focus of his platform is regulation of AI-- to the point where super PACs advocating for more government regulation of AI have committed over $8 million toward supporting Bores. He was a key architect of the New York RAISE Act, which required developers of large AI models to publish comprehensive safety plans.
George Conway, ex-husband of Kellyanne Conway, is a former Republican (a "Never-Trump Republican) whose platform and identity are entirely focused on anti-Trumpism and he models himself the untraditional Dem candidate.
Nina Schwalbe has decades of public health experience with the UN and federal government, and has held leadership roles at USAID, UNICEF, and more, as a public health researcher. She is a strong advocate for science, progressive stances on housing, climate, a wealth tax, public health, and social justice; she has far less institutional political support and infrastructure compared to the "four guys" dominating the headlines.
