Cook County Circuit Court Caroline Moreland's seat

Judge Moreland was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1995. She was appointed to the circuit court in 2010; reappointed in 2012; elected in 2014 and retained in 2020. She is currently assigned to the Chancery Division where she handles a broad variety of complex civil matters: administrative reviews, corporate and business disputes, trust litigation and insurance coverage.

Judge Moreland is said to be prepared and knowledgeable about cases. She is fair to everyone, and considerate of pro se litigants. She manages her courtroom well and gives parties equal time to present their cases. ISBA recommends Judge Caroline Kate Moreland be retained to the Circuit Court of Cook County.
