Candidates who align with our values.

I am a Waltham resident, the former Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Forward Party, and a former candidate for Waltham State Rep (in the 2024 election cycle). More information about me can be found at www.sean.diamonds.
Over the past few years, I’ve been making an effort to get to know the incumbent city councillors and the candidates for Waltham City Council. Leading up to the 2025 Municipal Election in Waltham, I will provide a list of candidate(s) I recommend voting for based on their stances on a few key topics:
City of Waltham Website: The website is currently not accessible making it difficult to find the information about elected officials, laws and regulations, and public meetings and events.
Accessible Travel: The city has miles of public streets that lack accessible sidewalks (including many miles along main roads that have poorly maintained sidewalks, sidewalks only on one side of the road, or none at all).
Housing & Zoning: The city is in the midst of updating its zoning code. During this process, I will be supporting candidates that are willing to reduce mandatory parking minimums to no more than 1 spot per housing unit and permit more “by right” uses for property owners, especially for changes reasonably address housing affordability without excessively burdening existing residents.
Sean Diamond is considering whether to run for office (again). If you agree that Sean would make a good candidate and an even better elected official, please let him know (anonymously) by “voting with” him on the Sway website!
