2026 Texas General
Grand Prairie City Council - At Large, District 7
Marketta Nimo
NonpartisanMarketta is the type of principled and diligent leader that Grand Prairie needs for its next stage of growth. I’ve connected with her in numerous occasions, and her experience as a local business owner contextualizes her bold vision for equitable development that benefits all of Grand Prairie… not just the tourist locations that have been a recent hot bed of private investment capital along the 161 corridor. She has pledged to hold power accountable, lead with transparency, and most importantly, meet the people where they are. These commitments are the hallmark of a true public servant, and I am excited to support her in this race.
Grand Prairie Independent School Board - At Large
Robert E. Williams Jr.
NonpartisanI’m supporting Robert because he has the passion, composure, and experience needed to meet this moment for Grand Prairie students and families. Although at times overshadowed buy the latest drama at city council, local school boards in this state are the first line of defense for a communities self determination. After getting time to connect with Robert personally, I believe that his focus on financial controls, having a strategic vision for the future of the district, and ensuring teachers are supported holistically is why I will be supporting him in this election cycle.
Proposition A: Bond Issuance for Road Improvements
I’m voting in favor of Proposition A because investments in our infrastructure have the necessary benefits that position our communities for continued growth. As the third fastest growing city in the metroplex continued investment in our roads is vital and this proposition would allow us to batch our investments instead of taking a staggered approach that would allow more time for our roads to deteriorate.
