Voters in Kansas will elect one member to the U.S. Senate in the general election on November 3, 2026. The primary is August 4, 2026. Senate seat held by Roger Marshall (R), who first took office in 2021. The outcome of this race will affect the partisan balance of the U.S. Senate in the 120th Congress. Thirty-three of the 100 U.S. Senate seats are up for election, and another two seats are up for special election. Democrats hold 13 of the seats up for election, and Republicans hold 22. Currently, Republicans have a 53-45 majority in the chamber.

✔Arms Embargo on Israel. End all offensive weapons transfers to the Netanyahu government. The U.S. has sent over $17.9 billion in military aid to Israel since October 2023, to a country that provides its own citizens universal healthcare and tuition-free public university. Kansans shouldn't subsidize abroad what we're denied at home. ✔Support the Block the Bombs Act and condition all future aid on compliance with international humanitarian law and the Leahy Law.
✔End the Forever Wars. Repeal the 2001 and 2002 Authorizations for Use of Military Force. No president of either party should have a blank check to deploy U.S. troops without a vote of Congress. Bring our service members home from open-ended deployments in Syria, Iraq, and across the Sahel.
✔Audit the Pentagon. The Department of Defense has failed seven consecutive financial audits. We are spending $895 billion a year on a budget no one can account for, while telling Anderson County its hospital has to close. Cut waste, redirect savings to healthcare, housing, and climate resilience.
✔Diplomacy First. Rejoin and strengthen the JCPOA with Iran. Pursue real negotiations to end the war in Ukraine on terms that respect Ukrainian sovereignty. Restore funding to the State Department and USAID. Diplomats are cheaper than wars.
✔Humanitarian Aid, Not Arms Sales. Restore UNRWA funding. Lead global responses to famine in Gaza, Sudan, and Yemen. Stop arming Saudi Arabia and the UAE while their war on Yemen continues.
Climate as Security. Treat the climate crisis as the defining national security threat of our lifetime. Lead, don't follow, on global emissions reduction agreements. Kansas wind is part of that answer.
✔Strengthening Unions. Pass the PRO Act to end "Right to Work" laws that weaken collective bargaining and protect the right of workers at Amazon warehouses, Panasonic, and local manufacturing hubs to organize.
✔Universal Childcare. Implement a federal program capping childcare costs at 7% of a family's income, because no parent should have to choose between working and raising their kids.
✔The Rural Pay Gap. Kansas has not raised its minimum wage above $7.25 since 2008. Missouri workers next door now earn $15. Median household income in Anderson County is $64,925 — thirty-five percent below the district average. Kansas farm income dropped $1.24 billion in a single year. The 3rd District doesn't end at the Johnson County line.
✔Green Manufacturing. Protect and expand federal investment in the De Soto corridor and beyond. Create thousands of union-protected jobs in battery, wind turbine, and solar manufacturing. Fight the rollback of Inflation Reduction Act incentives that made these jobs possible.
✔Resilient Infrastructure. Upgrade the power grid and regional water systems to withstand the extreme weather patterns already affecting Kansas farmers and urban communities.
✔Transit Justice. Expand the RideKC regional transit system to create reliable, fare-free connections between Wyandotte and Johnson County, reducing emissions and increasing job accessibility for the workers who need it most.
✔Green Data Centers. Require new data centers to meet renewable energy standards before receiving federal tax incentives. Kansas wind makes this district a natural fit for clean-powered tech infrastructure. Mandate transparency in energy and water usage reporting for all large-scale facilities.

Cindy Holscher

Corson explicitly pitches himself as a centrist moderate while Holscher supports legalizing medical marijuana, calls for an independent redistricting panel, term limits, and limits on corporate PAC money in elections. She wants to make school lunches free for every Kansas student and expand special education funding. She has been a vocal supporter of reproductive rights and opposed the 2022 constitutional amendment that would have restricted abortion access. She wants to raise the minimum wage to $16 per hour and allow higher-cost cities to set even higher minimums, plus mandate paid sick leave. The filing deadline isn't until June 1, 2026, so the field could still grow.
