Judge Walowski was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1993. She was elected to the circuit court in 2008; retained in 2014 and 2020. She was assigned to Traffic Court and First Municipal in 2009. Between 2009 and 2016, Judge Walowski served in the Domestic Violence Division. She has been assigned to the Criminal Division at 26th and California since 2016.
Despite comments about poor temperament and impatience, Judge Walowski was praised for her legal knowledge, her willingness to research, and her courtroom management ability. ISBA recommends Judge Ursula Walowski be retained to the Circuit Court of Cook County.
