"Tax changes since 2013 shake out to an average cut of $56,000 in 2025 for the richest 1 percent of North Carolinians — a cut that is 130 times larger than what North Carolinians with the lowest incomes have received."
"Continued proposals to increase the standard deduction further will do little to help the lowest 40 percent of households in terms of income — those who struggle most with affordability."

We already had legislation passed to lower the state income tax to 3.5% which equates to more than $18 billion in lost state funding. This would bake it into the constitution meaning it would be incredibly hard to change in the future and we could never raise it above 3.5%. It is incredibly important that we vote no on putting this in the constitution. This only benefits the super rich. We need the flexibility to fund our public services, public spaces, public schools and infrastructure.

This will lock in a rate. We don't know what will happen in the future, please don't tie the hands of our state.

This doesn't decrease your current taxes and would limit taxes on billionaires in the future. It changes nothing right now but limits the ability to hold billionaires accountable. Read more here:
