This proposal is a renewal or continuation of the previous millage authorized by voters for road maintenance and construction.
Shall the previously voted millage of 4 mils ($4.00 per $1,000 of taxable value), in the tax limitation, imposed under Article IX Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within the Township of Bangor, as reduced by the required millage rollback which last resulted in a levy of 3.9624 mils ($3.9624 per $1,000 of taxable value) on all real and personal property in Bangor Township, Van Buren County, Michigan, which expires in 2026, be renewed at the original voted 4 mils ($4.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the four (4) year period of 2027 through 2030 inclusive for the purpose of appropriating funds for road maintenance and construction within the unincorporated portions of the Township of Bangor; and shall the township levy such renewal in millage, thereby raising in the first year of levy an estimated $400,974?
