sales tax in the amount of one percent ( 1. 0% ), to take effect on April 1, 2027, or as soon
thereafter as the tax may lawfully be collected by the Kansas Department of Revenue, with
the revenue from the tax used to fund the acquisition, construction, reconstruction, repair,
maintenance, improvement, extension, and enlargement of the City's water utility system
and related infrastructure, and with the tax expiring ten (10) years after the date on which it
is first collected, all pursuant to K.S.A. 12-187 et seq., as amended?
