Measure A: Establish Oversight Procedures, Extend Supervisor's Term Limits, and Restructure Some County Governance Policies Amendment

A "yes" vote supports amending the San Diego County Charter to make changes to the structure of county governance and the responsibilities of county officials, including:

• create an Independent Ethics Commission;

• create the roles of Independent Budget Analyst and Independent Program Auditor;

• require the Board of Supervisors to confirm the Chief Administrative Officer's appointments of some senior county leaders;

• increase the number of terms a member of the county Board of Supervisors can serve from two to three; and

• require the public disclosure of spending and performance data on the county's website.

A "no" vote opposes amending the San Diego County Charter to make changes to the structure of county governance and the responsibilities of county officials.
