On campaign finance: I have always counted on strong grassroots support - everyday people who cared about the direction of District 1 and San Francisco. I have been tapping into and expanding that network through this campaign. We do not take corporate PAC dollars because I believe our U.S. Representative should only be beholden to the working people of CA-11.

On healthcare: I support a universal healthcare system and specifically a single payer system such as Medicare for All with appropriate transparency and accountability measures to ensure we keep our focus on providing high quality care for every person.

On taxing billionaires: I would absolutely support a tax on billionaires. I support San Francisco's June ballot measure that will increase our City's Overpaid CEO Tax which levies additional taxes on companies with executives who earn more than 100 times the salaries of their average employee. I also support the proposed California billionaire tax that would fund healthcare. I have consistently supported progressive revenue measures to ensure that those with the most resources pay their fair share, and I will continue to do so in Congress to support progressive taxation nationwide.

As an immigrant myself, I will fight for the rights of immigrants and protect San Francisco's status as a Sanctuary City. I will also fight the unjust, anti-democratic policies of the Trump Administration as it seeks to deny due process to immigrants, unlawfully target citizens and even overturn birthright citizenship and the citizenship of naturalized Americans.
