In his many years in the Senate, he’s championed commonsense gun safety measures like universal background checks, red flag laws, and bans on dangerous hardware like assault weapons and large-capacity magazines nationwide—all of which have already proven to be effective in New Jersey.

Sen. Cory Booker has been a supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship since he was elected to the Senate in 2013. A member of the Foreign Relations Committee, Booker cosponsored and voted for a resolution affirming U.S. support for Israel in the aftermath of Hamas' October 7th terrorist attack. Booker also voted for supplemental security assistance for the Jewish state this year.

“Progress is built by working people, workers are the backbone of New Jersey’s economy, and we proudly support candidates who not only recognize this truth but act on it,” Chambers stated. “Their leadership and their continued advocacy are vital to working families and the future of our state.”

We must re-elect Senator Cory Booker, elect all of labor’s endorsed congressional candidates, and support 44 rank-and-file union candidates.

• From Newark Mayor to US Senate, he has always been fighting for environmental justice
• Secured federal fund for Newark to help replace all lead service lines in just 3 years
• Tirelessly fighting against federal policy and funding rollbacks that harm families, increase pollution and make NJ communities disproportionately more vulnerable to climate impacts.

Senator Booker has a significant track record of fighting for the low- and moderate-income communities. He has consistently stood against efforts to gut the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid and has been a leading voice for health equity. He has championed policies that directly address the financial challenges facing working families by fighting to crack down on soaring rents, predatory overdraft fees, and outsourcing practices that disproportionately burden low-income communities. He’s been a staunch advocate to limit corporate overreach and increase workers’ wages.

On June 29, 2026, the Delegate Assembly voted to endorse U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, among others, in the 2026 general election.

Booker co-authored the Senate version of the FLCA and voluntarily recognized his campaign’s staff union with the Teamsters in 2020.
