ISBA:
Judge O’Connor was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2006, and the Wisconsin bar in 2014. Prior to becoming a judge, she concentrated in litigation of personal injury, medical malpractice, construction cases, product, product liability, and civil rights.
Judge O’Connor was elected in 2020. She was assigned to Traffic Court for one month. From there she spent three and a half years in the First Municipal Division, civil trials. From May 2024 to July 2025, Judge O’Connor was assigned to the motions call. She has been sitting in the Law Trial Division since 2025, where she hears trial and pretrials.
Judge O’Connor has been a speaker on various topics relevant to tort litigation for the CBA, ITLA, and ISBA. She has written articles on those subjects as well. All comments in the areas of legal knowledge, temperament, sensitivity, diligence, and character were positive. ISBA recommends Judge Eileen O’Connor be retained to the Circuit Court of Cook County.
