Judge Cushing was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1988. He was appointed to the circuit court in June 2019 and elected in 2020. Prior to his appointment, he had been “of counsel” to Christoper Kreid & Associates since 2010 where he focused on civil litigation. After prior assignments in Traffic and Domestic Violence, in 2023 he has been assigned to the Law Division – Jury at the First Municipal District (Daley Center). He has spoken as a panelist on legal issues and is a member of different bar associations.
Attorneys praised his legal knowledge and ability, his diligence, integrity, and even keeled temperament. ISBA recommends Judge Thomas M. Cushing be retained to the Circuit Court of Cook County.
