Judge Stacey was admitted to practice in 1982. In 1992 and up until his election, he had his own solo firm, concentrating in tort and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts.
Judge Stacey was elected to the circuit court in 2020; he served briefly in the Traffic Division. From January 2021 until December 2021, Judge Stacey was assigned to Evictions Court, where he presented over motions, bench trials and settlement conference. Since December 2021, he has been assigned Civil Jury Room where he hears bench and jury trials in addition to motions and settlement conferences.
Judge Stacey is a member of the Chicago Lincoln Inn of Court, leading and attending pupilage sessions. He is also involved in ‘hands on’ work with World Relief International. ISBA recommends Judge Christ S. Stacy be retained to the Circuit Court of Cook County.
